MULTIMEDIA WIRING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a speech from a generic phone via an IP network without the need for a new wiring work. SOLUTION: An information panel 1 accommodates a VoIP terminal adaptor acting like a network speech apparatus in addition to: a splitter 6; an ADSL MODEM 7; a router 12; a hub 13; a LAN terminal board 20; and a branch terminal board 21. Thus, a terminal 15 connected to a LAN receptacle 16 can utilize an Internet connection service via the ADLS MODEM 7, and a phone 18 connected to a phone receptacle 19 can attain a speech via an IP network (Internet) by using the VoIP terminal adaptor 22 in addition to a speech via an ordinary public telephone line network. Further, since wiring to connect the VoIP terminal adaptor 22 to the IP network and the phone 18 is performed beforehand, a new wiring work is not required. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
