Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of interference between a signaling system of increased recording capacity and a signal of a current MD system while attaining compatibility with a current MD. SOLUTION: On a disk of a next-generation MD1 specification, there are an area for recording data with EFM modulation and an area for recording data with 1-7pp modulation. A U-TOC which is a management data track and an alert track which is a caution track are recorded on the area of EFM modulation. The alert track and the area of 1-7pp modulation are spaced by a predetermined distance and a guard band is provided, thereby, the signals are not interfered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
