RECORDING METHOD, DRIVE DEVICE FOR RECORDING MEDIUM, AND RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent convenience for users from being damaged while protecting a copyright of audio data. SOLUTION: In the move and checkout (CO) of audio data, data 200 are moved from a disk 90, and the number 201 of times CO can be made is then set to a move destination. Finally, the number 201 is reduced by one in the move destination, and CO data 200' are copied onto the disk 90. In such processing, a final state is realized in response to a single instruction from a user. According to the instruction of the user, the data 200 are copied into a PC 100, where the number 201 is reduced by 1 according to a specification (Fig. C). Labor of the user for the move and CO is saved, the CO data remain on the disk 90 and there is no sense of incompatibility for the user. Further, the number of times CO can be made is limited to the number of times taking account of regular stages to protect the copyright. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
