Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer wideband audio data by using a low-speed interface excellent in terms of a cost and reliability. SOLUTION: An audio source system 1 subjects one series of digital audio signals of 192 Ksps to subband encoding to four series of digital audio signals of 48 ksps by an analyzing filter bank 14 in a transmission processing section 12 and sends the respective series of the encoded low-rate digital audio signals to an audio source system 2 through at least one low-rate interface relating to each thereof. On the other hand, the system 2 decodes one series of the digital audio signals of 192 Ksps by a synthesizing filter bank 25 and an adder from the four series of the digital audio signals sent through the low-speed interface from the system 1 in a reception processing section 22.
