Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for converting waste plastics into a fuel by thermal cracking, effective for preventing the clogging of a treating apparatus by the deposition of a crystalline organic material in a volatile component into gas, in a fuel conversion apparatus and enabling stable continuous operation. SOLUTION: Waste plastics are converted into a fuel by thermal cracking. The volatile component containing the crystalline organic material and generated by the thermal cracking is supplied to a 1st jet scrubber, sucked and mixed into a circulating oil at a temperature lower than the sublimation point of the crystalline organic material to cause the abrupt cooling and the deposition of the crystalline organic material and, at the same time, to condense an organic component (component A) having a boiling point higher than the circulating oil temperature to form the fuel, and the product is separated into the crystalline organic material, the liquefied organic component A and gas.
