Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptanedicarbonitriles which are starting materials for various derivatives capable of introducing oxygen-containing alicyclic skeletons into various polymers to impart thereto excellent properties such as solvent solubility as well as transparency and optical properties. SOLUTION: The 7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptanedicarbonitriles are represented by formula (I). The method for producing the compounds comprises effecting the addition reaction of 7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2-carbonitrile and hydrogen cyanide in the presence of a zero-valent nickel complex catalyst and a Lewis acid.
