WELDING TOOL OF RAIL BOND TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR WELDING RAIL BOND TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely welding a cylindrical rail bond terminal to a left side surface or right side surface of a rail in a simple manner by using the same tool without respectively using the tools to be exclusively used for the left side or the right side. SOLUTION: The welding tool 3 for the rail bond terminal is arranged in such a manner that the cylindrical rail bond terminal 2 having a prescribed length secured to the front end of the rail bond insertable from the left side or the right side surface into a cavity 6 in a casting mold section along the left side surface or the right side surface of the rail and formed with a part to be welded in nearly the middle can be welded to the left side surface or the right side surface of the rail. When the part to be welded of the terminal 2 is aligned to the cavity 6 and a copper thermit agent is ignited in the upper part in welding the terminal to the rail, the copper melts and the melt passes a runner 5a, thereby welding the the part to be welded of the cylindrical rail bond terminal to the left side surface or the right side surface of the rail.
