Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can suppress troubles accompanying the suction of a liquid without spoiling the usability, or without reducing the dust removing performance. SOLUTION: For a vacuum cleaner body 2 which internally contains an electric blower 16, a dust collecting chamber (dust collecting cup) 21 and an airflow channel 24 which leads air passing through the cup are provided on the upstream side of the electric blower. The cup 21 separates foreign matters having heavier specific densities than air from dust-containing air which is made to pass through the cup 21 by utilizing the inertia energy of the foreign matters. The upper part of the cup 21 has a filter 23 which filters air and removes dust from the air being separated in the cup. An airflow channel 24 has a water removing airflow channel part 26 which leads the air having passed through the filter 23 downward, and an air leading part 27 which is branched from the middle of the airflow channel part 26 and leads air to the suction port 16a of the electric blower 16. Moisture having a heavier specific density than the air is separated from the air being led by the water removing airflow channel part 26 downward, by the water removing airflow channel part 26 and the air leading part 27 by utilizing the inertia energy of the moisture.
