ADDRESS DATA MODULATION METHOD AND APPARATUS, ADDRESS DATA DEMODULATION METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR, AND RECORDING MEDIUM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address data modulation method and apparatus, an address data demodulation method and apparatus therefor, and a recording medium for recording the modulated address data. SOLUTION: The address data modulation apparatus includes: an address generating section for generating address data; an error correction encoding section for encoding the address data for error correction in response to the address data received from the address generating section; a modulation section that receives data in at least 2 bits or more as one unit from the error correction encoding section, generates a first modulation signal by using a first modulation system and further generates a second modulation signal by using a second modulation system; and a wobble generating section for composing the first and second modulation signals received from the modulation section to produce a unit wobble signal. By utilizing the address data modulating apparatus in this way, the data loss is reduced even on the occurrence of a defect on a disk and many more data are recorded in a wobble form so as to increase the amount of information added to the address information.
