TRANSPORTATION ROUTE FARE CALCULATION DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM WITH TRANSPORTATION ROUTE FARE CALCULATION PROGRAM STORED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically convert/display fares/charges for a transportation route related to two countries of different monetary units, in the monetary unit of a user's own country. SOLUTION: A transportation route fare calculation device has information DBs of stations/airports, lines, timetables, actual lines, links, companies, fares (A country, B country), and A country-B country foreign exchange. In the device, an input control part reads in a place of departure, a destination, departure and arrival dates and times, use conditions and lines to be used; a route search engine part uses the data read in by the input control part and the DBs of stations/airports, lines, timetables, actual lines and links, to search for/acquire a total transportation route from the place of departure to the destination; a fare calculation part uses information on the total transportation route acquired by the route search engine part, nationality information and the DB of fares (A country, B country), to calculate a fare for the total transportation route from the place of departure to the destination; and a fare conversion/display control part displays the total transportation route fare calculated by the fare calculation part in currencies of the A country and B country, and uses the DB of A country-B country exchange to convert it to a currency of either country and displays it only in the currency of the A country or B country.
