SOLUTION: In rolling equipment to draw a workpiece 4 for a bar, a wire and the like into a small diameter by passing it through roll stands 1, 2, 3 arranged in multiple steps, laser Doppler speed indicators 8, 9, 10 are installed at the entry and delivery sides of each roll stand to measure actual speed of the workpiece pulled in and out at each roll stand.
