Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing deposits which is simpler and has higher removing effect than the conventional method of removing deposits. SOLUTION: The method of removing deposits containing hydrocarbon and metal compounds, is characterized by washing the deposits with a detergent essentially consisting of an organic compound having a specific dielectric constant of ≥12 to ≤50 and a dipole moment of ≥2.5 Debye, then washing the deposits with water.
