Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst which is excited by irradiation with visible light to stably exhibit high photocatalytic activity. SOLUTION: A platinum halide compound is supported on the surfaces of photocatalyst particles having an anisotropic shape, such as fusiform particles, cylindrical particles or acicular particles. The photocatalyst particles are preferably titanium dioxide particles having an axial ratio of 1.5-10 and the platinum halide compound is preferably a platinum chloride compound. The amount of the platinum halide compound supported is preferably 0.01-1 wt.% (expressed in terms of Pt) based on the amount of the photocatalyst particles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
