SHOWCASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and surely keep unused racks in a showcase usable by switching between cool and hot modes. SOLUTION: This showcase 1 forms a display chamber 11 opened to a front by partition plates 9 installed on the inside of an insulating wall 7 at specified intervals. A duct 12 is formed between the partition plates and the insulating wall, and multiple stages of racks 2A to 2D are installed in the display chamber. The showcase can be used switchingly between the cooling mode for cooling the inside of the display chamber by discharging cool air from the opening upper edge of the display chamber through the duct and a heating mode for heating electric heaters installed on the racks. An intermediate cool air duct 28 for charging cool air toward the opening below the rack 2A is formed below the rack 2A installed on the inside upper part of the display chamber, the electric heater on the rack 2A is heated, and the cool air is discharged from the intermediate cool air duct to heat only the inside of the display chamber on the upper side of the rack 2A so as to be used, and the rack 2B is formed to be stored along the lower side of the intermediate cool air duct.
