Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration device and its control method, eliminating the consumption of much time for searching case examples without causing a great increase in the information amount of a case example database even when a time passes since starting control. SOLUTION: The cogeneration device comprises means 2 for detecting power demand, means 3 for detecting hot water supply demand, means 4A for detecting information about room temperature, and estimating means 26 for estimating power consumption and/or the hot water supply demand. The estimating means 26 is configured such that it estimates the power consumption and/or the hot water supply demand after the passage of a certain time from case example based inference in accordance with information about a date and a day of a week, the detected power demand, the hot water supply demand and a current detected value for information about temperature and a numerical value for a time before a certain time or longer. The estimating means 26 has first estimating means 22 for finding an estimated value in accordance with an average value (an average value for case example data in each of predetermined regions) for past case example data in a predetermined range (retrieving recent data from quantized histories; compressing the data; and cutting a mesh for the past case example data) and second estimating means 23 for finding a estimated value in accordance with the minimum square error.
