Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fork lift truck capable of preventing fork wearing, floor face damage and abnormal sound generation even if the fork lift truck starts with its fork touching a floor face. SOLUTION: To start the driving operation of the fork lift truck 1, when a key switch is turned to ON (Yes in Step S1), a release switch is turned to OFF (operation side) (Yes in Step S2), the fork is judged touching the ground when the height of the fork is detected not higher than a specified height by a height detecting means (Yes in Step S3), and when an acceleration pedal is turned ON (Yes in Step S4), the fork is automatically raised to a position of a specified height (for example, 10 cm from the floor face) (S5).
