SUB-RANGING VERSION ANALOG/DIGITAL TRANSFORMER AND ANALOG/DIGITAL CONVERSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the high speed operation or low power consumption of a sub-ranging version analog/digital transformer. SOLUTION: This sub-ranging version analog/digital transformer configured by comparing the voltage of an analog signal with a reference voltage by a plurality of comparing means in a plurality of stages to transform the analog signal successively from the host bit side of the digital signal is provided with an intermitting means arranged between the output part of a mode changeover switch for switching a reset mode in which the voltage of the analog signal is not compared with the reference voltage to a comparison mode that the voltage of the analog signal is compared with the reference voltage and the output part of a reference voltage switching means for switching it to a reference voltage corresponding to a digital signal into which the analog signal should be transformed for intermitting both the output parts.
