Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic print device control method capable of quickly and accurately setting a background/foreground image in a photographic print based on the composite image where the photographic image of an object is combined with its background/foreground image corresponding to the tastes of a user in an amusing operation system. SOLUTION: In this photographic print device control method, an overall map PM based on a theme selected by a user is displayed on a display screen, and a selection area SA whose position is movable or whose size is changeable in response to an instruction from a user is displayed inside the overall map PM. Then, a live view composite image PL where the photographic image of an object photographed by a camera unit is combined with a background and/or foreground image being an image corresponding to a partial area image selected by the selection area SA is displayed on the display screen.
