METHOD FOR SEPARATING SINGLE COATED OPTICAL FIBER FROM COATED OPTICAL FIBER TAPE, AND JIG THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for separating a single coated optical fiber from a coated optical fiber tape, which easily perform the work of separating single coated optical fibers from the coated optical fiber tape into individuals and prevent single coated optical fibers from being broken due to unreasonable operation, and to provide a jig therefor. SOLUTION: A four-fiber coated optical fiber tape 5 having single coated optical fibers made into one tape with a collective coating 4 is subjected to both cutting separation processing of separating two inside single coated optical fibers being in the center part of the coated optical fiber tape from each other and shearing separation processing of separating single coated optical fibers on both sides into individuals while leaving two single coated optical fibers in the center part of the coated optical fiber tape as they are. and thus single coated optical fibers 3 are loosened into individuals.
