Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a color wheel which is comprehensively superior in cost, precision, and easiness in the manufacture. SOLUTION: The method of fabricating the color wheel (e.g. Fig) having filters, capable of transmitting light of desired wavelength, on a disk-shaped substrate made of a material capable of transmitting light includes a step of utilizing, as a mask for exposure from a back side of the disk-shaped substrate, a portion containing at at least one of two borders with areas of a color-transmittable multilayer film formed in a specified area on a top surface side of the disk-shaped substrate.
