Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior map display terminal device capable of adequately and accurately providing necessary map information on a specified area even if a communication environment is inferior and a map distribution system using the map display terminal device. SOLUTION: The number (S202) of necessary maps is divided (S205) for each of the predetermined number according to (S203) the communication environment and the maps are supplied a plurality of times in divisions. Consequently, the number of maps received at each time becomes small if the communication environment is inferior and then maps of each time can relatively accurately be received and displayed in the inferior communication environment.
