TOOTHED BELT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt having high efficiency of maintenance work by omitting effort of disassembling a machine-side mold vehicle and easily dividing it like a chain. SOLUTION: A belt body 2 has a band shape having length capable of being wound between the machine-side mold vehicles, one end and the other end of the band shape are temporarily joined in an uneven method to provide an endless shape, joint bolts 30 are inserted into through holes formed in the temporarily joint part to be joined by set screws 33. The shape of the head 33a of each set screw 33 is the same as that of a profile 3, and the set screws 33 are disposed at positions having the same pitch P as that of the profile. When the belt body 2 suffers abrasion or damage by an operation of the machine with time, by releasing the screwing of the set screws 33 with the joint bolts 30 for joining one end and the other end of the belt body 2 to provide the endless shape in the maintenance work, the belt body can be removed from the machine-side mold vehicles. Therefore, the effort of disassembling the machine side can be omitted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
