METHOD FOR PREVENTING WEARING OF BLAST FURNACE BRICK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing wearing of a blast furnace brick from occurring, by preliminarily grasping a state in which furnace bottom side wall brick is started to wear. SOLUTION: At least two pieces of thermometers T0, T1are embedded at the different positions in the thickness direction in the furnace bottom brick 12 of the blast furnace 10, and a through flow calory Q of the furnace bottom brick 12 is obtained from measured values of the thermometers T0, T1to control the calory Q in a prescribed range. Further, at least two pieces of thermometers T0, T1are embedded at the different positions in the thickness direction in the furnace bottom brick 12 of the blast furnace 10, and a temperature gradient ΔT is obtained from the temperature difference between the measured values of the thermometers T0, T1to control this temperature gradient ΔT in a prescribed range.
