Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressing method and an air extracting type compressing device for a small piece solid material capable of compressing to increase its bulk density when packaging a large quantity of the small piece solid material into a certain volume. SOLUTION: In the air extracting type compressing device having a compression molding device 1 compressing to form the small piece solid material X and an air extracting device 2 extracting air from a compressed molding x, the above compression molding device 1 has a compression molding chamber 100 charging the small piece solid material X within it and a press device 110 compressing the small piece solid material X making at least one surface of the compression molding chamber 100 a press surface 111, the above air extracting device 2 extracts air from the compression molding chamber during the above compression molding.
