DATA TRANSFER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system capable of eliminating the necessity of transmission/reception of FCP_XFER_RDY and FCP_DATA and shortening the processing time of the whole commands. SOLUTION: In transferring short data satisfying a previously determined condition from an initiator 1 to a target 3, the initiator 1 transmits FCP_CMND in which transmitting data are embedded by using a data embedding means 5 from an FCP_CMND transmitting means 4 to the target 3 through a loop 2. An FCP_CMND receiving means 10 in the target 3 transfers the FCP_CMND to a data extraction means 11, which extracts the embedded data. A command processing means 13 performs command processing by using the extracted data and prepares FCP_STATUS. An FCP_STATUS transmitting means 12 transmits the FCP_STATUS to the initiator 1 through the loop 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
