TRANSFER DEVICE OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus which allows a prescribed transfer nip to be formed at all times when a transfer roller is pressurized against an intermediate transfer body and allows a picture of excellent and stable quality to be obtained. SOLUTION: The transfer device of electrophotographic image forming apparatus comprises a frame of an image forming apparatus main body having a side wall, the intermediate transfer body 10 which is supported and disposed in the frame of the image forming apparatus main body and allows a toner picture on a photoreceptor 1 to be intermediately transferred thereto, the transfer roller 20 which rotates while forming the prescribed transfer nip and being pressurized against the intermediate transfer body and transfers the toner picture on the intermediate transfer body to a printing paper P passing through the space with the intermediate transfer body, a transfer panel 2 which freely rotatably supports the transfer roller and is disposed freely rotatably and switchably with respect to the frame of the image forming apparatus main body, a transfer roller separating/pressurizing means 300 which separates the transfer roller by a prescribed distance or pressurizes the transfer roller against the intermediate transfer body and a transfer roller aligning means 400 which exactly positions the transfer roller when the transfer roller is pressurized against the intermediate transfer body.
