Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the picture quality of a photothermographic material. SOLUTION: The photothermographic material is an organic solvent-based black-and-white photothermographic material having one or more heat developable image forming layers on a support. The heat developable image forming layer contains a hydrophobic binder and in reactive association, a preformed photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive reducible silver ion source as an organic silver salt, and a reducing composition for the non-photosensitive reducible silver ion source.
