Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for the assembly device of a rod cable with an SZ groove when an angular phase is irregularly fluctuated because of the twist or the like of a rod with an SZ groove. SOLUTION: In the assembly method for the rod cable with the SZ groove, a plurality of rotary fiber handling plates capable of rotating coaxially with the rod with the SZ groove withdrawn and traveling are disposed at proper intervals in an axial direction around the rod with the SZ groove, and the rotary fiber handling plate just near a ferrule is SZ-rotated corresponding to the change of the angular phase of the SZ groove at the dropping point of coated optical fiber tapes at the position of the assembly ferrule, and then the remaining rotary line division plates are properly angularly rotated so as to order the coated optical fiber tapes. When the angular phase of the SZ groove 2 is irregularly changed because of the twist or the like of the rod with the SZ groove 1, the irregular fluctuation amount (e) of the angular phase is detected, and the whole of the rotary fiber handling plates is collectively coaxially rotated while holding an SZ rotating function in a direction where it follows the twist by an angle (e+α) larger than the irregular fluctuation amount (e) by a proper adjusted angle α and then restored in a reverse direction by the adjusted angle α.
