METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING CARBON BLACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carbon black having a small amount of grit and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A combustion gas flow at a high temperature of 1,000-2,000°C is produced in a first reaction zone 1 and the high-temperature combustion gas flow is introduced from each of the first reaction zone 1 to a second reaction zone 2 in the tangent line direction of each of a furnace body 20 to form the revolving current of the high-temperature combustion gas flow in the second reaction zone 2. A carbon black raw material (oil) is sprayed from a nozzle on the revolving current of the high-temperature combustion gas flow to form the carbon black in the second reaction zone. Negative pressure at the central part of the revolution in the vicinity of the throttle part 28 of the second reaction zone 2 is measured through a guide pressure hole 55 and a guide pressure pipe 56 arranged in the nozzle 25A and the amount of primary air of a burner 11 is controlled so that the negative pressure is in a fixed range.
