Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a jacket layer which secures weatherability, and further has surface coarseness-free extrusion moldability without formation of gum to enable long-term operation while securing excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties and the like of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, and an electric wire/cable having a jacket layer composed thereof. SOLUTION: The resin composition for a jacket layer comprises 100 pts.wt. ethylenic resin (A) composed of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (A1) having specific properties, 2.0-3.5 pts.wt. carbon black (B) composed of furnace carbon black having an average particle diameter of 11-25 μm, 0.01-0.04 pt.wt. fluorocarbon elastomer (C), and 0.1-0.4 pt.wt. one or more antioxidants (D) selected from the group consisting of an amine antioxidant (D1) and a phenolic antioxidant (D2).
