SOLUTION: The cable sheath stripping tool 1 is for stripping a cable sheath 8 off the midsection of a cable 9. In the stripping tool, a circumferential cutting part 14 which cuts the cable sheath 8 in the circumferential direction is formed by exposing the flat of a cutting edge 3 for cutting the cable sheath 8 from a catch 4 which holds the cutting edge by a predetermined height. Further, an axial cutting part 15 which cuts the cable sheath 8 in the axial direction is formed by exposing the tip of the cutting edge 3 from the catch 4 by a predetermined height.
