Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an Internet telephone system wherein a telephone set of a user, a terminal designated by the user, and a terminal over a packet network can make voice and video communication with each other. SOLUTION: When a terminal adaptor 100 receives an incoming call from the packet network 400, a packet telephone processing section 7 terminates the call and informs a control section 8 of the termination. After the control section 8 discriminates the presence / absence of data other than voice in a received signal, the control section 8 calls the terminal 201 designated by the user and the telephone set 200 registered in a memory 9. When the user uses the terminal 201 designated by the user to receive the call from the control section 8 in response to the call from the control section 8, the terminal adaptor 100 transfers the received signal of the incoming call to the terminal 201 designated by the user via a packet telephone transfer section 10. When the user uses the telephone set 200 to receive the call in response to the call from the control section 8, the control section 8 allows a codec section 4 to convert the received digital signal into an analog signal and allows the analog signal to be transferred to the telephone set 200 via an extension telephone processing section 5. The communication from a public network 300 is similarly processed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
