Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide having fine dots formed on a light reflecting surface and a prescribed roughness formed on a light outgoing surface. SOLUTION: This light guide for a liquid crystal display has an light incoming surface, the light reflecting surface, and the light outgoing surface wherein the plurality of fine dots are formed on the light reflecting part, and diffusely reflect light while the light is being entered through the light incoming part, the light outgoing part has the prescribed roughness and diffuses light diffusely reflected by the light reflecting part again and emits it. The fine dots are formed on the light reflecting surface of a light guide plate 110 that guides light emitted by a lamp 120 to diffusingly reflect the light, and recessed and protrusion parts having a prescribed roughness are formed on the light outgoing surface of the light guide plate to diffuse the light, thus eliminating a diffusing sheet provided on the light guide plate.
