Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case capable of suppressing the reduction in inductance of a tag by the influence of a metallic case for electronic equipment having an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) reader/writer integrated thereto, when setting a reader/writer antenna on the metallic case surface, particularly, a case for portable terminal equipment and the electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The metallic case 1 has a magnetic material 2 having a thickness ranging from 0.16 to 6 mm, preferably, from 0.48 to 1.12 mm and an area of about 1/3 or more of the tag 4, which is arranged at least on or near the reader/writer antenna 3a setting area on the surface. The reduction in inductance of the tag 4 by the metallic case 1 is canceled by the increase in inductance by the magnetic material 2, whereby the fluctuation of inductance of the tag 2 is suppressed. Consequently, even if the tag 2 is used closely or adjacently to the metallic case 1, the communication state with the reader/writer 3 can be kept well. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
