SOLUTION: The proposed method is a method for forming an image on a substantially rectangular thermal recording material having rounded corners, that is, a method for forming a hard copy of a medical image. The picture elements of the image are printed within the printable region within the range of the recording material, and the printable region is determined by a polygon having four or more sides to be approximated to the range of the recording material.
