METHOD FOR USING MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING COMPATIBLE BIOPSY DEVICE WITH DETACHABLE PROBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing MRI induction biopsy applied to both open type and close type MRI device, and performing various diagnoses and treatments for a biopsy part with minimum invasion. SOLUTION: The method for MRI induction core biopsy for mamma tissue uses a core biopsy instrument and a positioning fixture having a probe assembly guide. The probe assembly guide is adapted to move in three dimensions to the positioning fixture. The method includes: a step of disposing the mamma in the positioning fixture; a step of fitting a probe assembly to the probe assembly guide; a step of disposing the probe assembly guide in an intended spatial coordinate; a step of inserting the probe assembly in the intended biopsy part using the probe assembly guide; and a step of fitting a biopsy instrument handle having a cutter to the probe assembly to perform the core biopsy.
