RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rice cooking performance and prevent water drops condensed around a steam hole of a cover heat plate from dripping on rice in a pot during warming to improve warming performance, in a rice cooker made to openably and closably cover an upper opening portion of a rice cooker body by a cover body. SOLUTION: The pot 3 is detachably housed in a rice cooker body 1, the upper opening portion of the rice cooker body 1 is covered by the cover body 6 openably and closably pivoted, the steam hole 9 of the cover heat plate is provided in the cover heat plate 7 forming the lower surface of the cover body 6, and the steam hole 9 communicates with a cover steam hole 10 provided in the surface of the cover body 6. The cover body 6 is provided with a shape memory spring 11 changing its shape according to stored temperature, and the lower part of the shape memory spring 11 is provided with a steam hole abutment plate 13 abutting on the steam hole 9. The shape memory temperature releases the abutment between the steam hole 9 and the abutment plate 13 during rice cooking and makes the steam hole 9 abut on the abutment plate 13 again during warming.
