ALARM MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD, AND INFORMATION TRANSFER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm monitoring system and method for preventing monitor disuse information to be generated in the case of power failure from being transferred to a monitoring center. SOLUTION: In a commercial power feeding state, an information transfer apparatus 12 receives an alarm of a suppression target from a power unit 11. Then, the information transfer apparatus 12 determines whether or not an alarm received by an internally stored alarm database 12-1 is the suppression target. When it is the suppression target, a power failure occurrence wait timer is started and occurrence of the power failure is monitored. When the power failure occurs while the power failure occurrence wait timer works, the information transfer apparatus 12 receives a power failure signal and activates a transfer suppressing function. When it is determined that an engine power feeding device is not installed in a monitoring target building 1 yet, the active status of the transfer suppressing function is maintained. When commercial power feeding is recovered, the information transfer apparatus 12 starts a power failure alarm suppressing timer. When the power failure alarm suppressing timer becomes time-out, the transfer suppressing function is canceled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
