BUS INTERFACE SWITCHING METHOD AND BUS INTERFACE SWITCHING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a circuit for transferring data in own bus width while respective devices djfferent in bus width do not conscious of the bus width of an opposite devices by providing a bus interface switching curcuit for connecting these devices. SOLUTION: The bus interface switching circuit 4, which executes the bus interface switching method by exchanging data and addresses between a first device 2 and a second device 3, is equipped with a bus switch 41 for connecting an M byte bus and an N byte bus and rearranging M bite data into a plurality of N byte data, or rearranging a plurality of N byte data into single M byte data, and an address switching circuit 42 for switching an address attached to the M byte data to serial addresses for each N byte data or switching the serial addresses of the N byte data to a single address of the M byte data.
