In order to enable communication between the administrative computer and the processor boards even when the LAN functions fail, the processor boards are provided with backplane LAN functions 112, 122, and 132 for constructing constructing a backplane LAN 161 in the shared memory, proxy response functions 113, 123, and 133 for performing communication path control between the backplane LAN and the main LAN, and transferring functions of proxy response 114, 124, and 134 for controlling proxy response functions in accordance with requests from other processor boards.
