Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resisting agent which can increase light fastness without reducing a recording density, coloring property and water-resistance of an inkjet recording material, and the inkjet recording material including the water-resisting agent. SOLUTION: This water-resisting agent for an inkjet recording material contains a cationic polymer. In this case, the cationic polymer has (a) a monomer unit having a plurality of cationic groups, and (b) a monomer unit having an ultraviolet absorbing structure and/or a monomer unit having a light stability structure as the constituent units.
