METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING EXHAUST GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method and an apparatus for treating exhaust gas in which organic halogen compounds such as dioxins can be removed in a high level, the consumed amount of a neutralizing agent can be saved, and the detoxification process of accompanying dust and fly ash can be reduced. SOLUTION: The process of detoxifying exhaust gas containing a harmful component includes processes of: (1) introducing the exhaust gas into a first bag filter apparatus 3 to remove soot and dust in the exhaust gas; (2) introducing the exhaust gas after the first process into an adsorbent packed layer apparatus 6 to remove organic halogen compounds included in the exhaust gas; and (3) introducing the exhaust gas after the second process to a second bag filter apparatus 4 and spraying a neutralizing agent to remove the acid component in the exhaust gas.
