SOLUTION: The invention provides a histamine release inhibitor, an antiallergic agent and a cosmetic composition containing an extracted or pressed material of at least one kind of a plant of the family Orchidaceae selected from varieties of Epipactis papillosa Franch et Savat., Neottia nidus-avis (L.)L.C. Rich. var. manshurica Komar, Cephalanthera longibracteata Blume and Dacrylorhiza incarnata (L.) Soo. These components have excellent histamine release suppressing action and high safety and are usable as a histamine release suppressing agent, an antiallergic agent or a cosmetic composition for preventing and ameliorating allergic/atopic dermatitis and rough skin.
