SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treatment apparatus 3 is constituted so as to remove NOxof the flue at the normal temperature without being made large-scaled by reducing NOxin an exhaust gas by passing the exhaust gas through a catalyst 6 containing activated carbon fibers having ammonia adsorbed thereon preliminarily to decompose NOxinto nitrogen and water at the normal temperature.
