DOCUMENT READING DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reading device and its method, capable of reading document at low cost with large-sized document kept in its reproducibility. SOLUTION: Before and after a document P is conveyed by a document conveying belt 17 of a manuscript conveying section 10, a plurality of determining positions located in an end portion of the document P are read by means of an optical system unit 7 for reading an image of the document P, so that correction data for correcting skewed feed of the document P, magnification errors of the optical system 7 or the like are made, based on results read by the optical system 7. After image correction treatment has been performed, with respect to each of document P's image data that is divided by using the correction data, each of the image data is combined properly.
