Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength band selectable optical switch 1 capable of selecting any wavelength bands from all the wavelength bands of an optical input signal, and using them as output wavelengths of optical output signals. SOLUTION: This wavelength band selectable optical switch is provided with a one-to-m splitter 2 (SP) serving as a beam splitting device and a plurality of wavelength tunable filters 3 (TF1-TFM). The one-to-m splitter 2 to which the beams of wavelengths λ1to λNare inputted splits each beam into m pieces of beams of wavelengths λ1to λNand sends them to m pieces of wavelength tunable filters 3 (TF1to TFM). Since m pieces of output terminals of the m pieces of wavelength tunable filters 3 are able to separately select any of the wavelength bands λ1, λ2, λ3, to λN-1, λN, each output terminal can arbitrarily switch the output wavelengths.
