Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit for driving a liquid crystal, capable of reducing the current consumption. SOLUTION: In selection switch timing of each COM, an arbitrary time is generated, all common output terminals and all segment output terminals are connected to one arbitrary voltage in the timing, and both ends of all pixel capacities present in a liquid crystal panel are short-circuited to discharge all electric charges in the pixel capacitances. After the timing, a voltage level to be essentially output is output from each COM output terminal and each SEG output terminal to reduce the electric current supplied from a semiconductor integrated circuit for driving a liquid crystal to the liquid crystal panel.
