METHOD FOR PRODUCING 4,4,4-TRIFLUORO-3-OXO-1-BUTENYLAMINE-N-ACRYLIC ACID ESTER OR ITS SALT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe method for the production of 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxo-1-butenylamine-N-acrylic acid ester or its salt useful as a production intermediate for agrochemicals or pharmaceuticals without lowering the yield. SOLUTION: A sodium alkoxide is used as a condensation agent in the production of 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxo-1-butenylamine-N-acrylic acid ester of formula (III) or its salt by the condensation reaction of 4-amino-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-buten-2-one of formula (I) with a 3,3-dialkoxypropionic acid ester of formula (II-1): (R'O)2CHCH2-CO2R (R is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl or phenyl; and R' is an alkyl) or a 3-alkoxyacrylic acid ester of formula (II-2): R'O-CH=CH-CO2R.
