HOME DELIVERY BOX UNIT, AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HOME DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and efficiency of home delivery work, and improve the convenience and safety for customers. SOLUTION: The customers who are consignors and consignees install home delivery boxes 6, 7 in their houses. Network connects between customer's terminals 1, 2 of the customers and dealer's terminals 4, 5 of the delivery and collection dealers. The consignor inputs information requesting delivery on the customer's terminal and carries a cargo to the home delivery box 6. The information is transmitted to each terminals 2, 4, 5, a consignee inputs the information which approves a receipt based on the received information in the customer's terminal 2 and the information is also transmitted to each terminals 1, 4, 5. At the dealer's terminals 4, 5, a memory card is issued based on the information and the delivery dealer opens the consignor's home delivery box 6 using the memory card, and collects the cargo. The delivery and collection dealer transports the cargo to the consignee's home box 7, opens the consignee's home box 7 using the memory card and contains the cargo in the box. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
