RADIO TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio telephone system capable of reducing power consumption in a battery of a radio telephone during automatic response of the phone. SOLUTION: A radio telephone 1 is prohibited to generate ringing tones, and transmits a predetermined short response data to a radio base station 10 through a radio circuit unit 6 having an antenna 7 when it receives an incoming call during automatic response. On the other hand, the radio base station 10 receives the predetermined short response data transmitted from the radio telephone 1, and transmits an adequate response message stored in an automatic response message memory MM to a calling phone. According to this arrangement, power consumption in a battery of the radio telephone 1 is reduced considerably. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
